Claxton Poultry Farms
COMMUNITY SERVICE
of Life of Our Neighbors. Claxton, Georgia, is more than just our base of operations, it's our hometown. We are delighted to participate in a number of activities and programs that serve this community and the surrounding areas. Each year, we award four $1,000 scholarships to area high school students who have distinguished themselves among the best and brightest in their graduating class. We also provide the salaries for an English as a Second Language teacher for local Hispanics and an activities director for the First Baptist Church Youth Center. We furnish ice for our local football games, the annual Rattlesnake Round-Up and the annual Ogeechee Tech Easter Egg Hunt, as well as maintenance for our area Head Start program. In addition, every Christmas Claxton Poultry donates a holiday dinner, which includes a turkey with all the fixings, to 60 needy families. We also contribute monthly to local food banks in Claxton, Statesboro and Savannah. |
